PURPOSE: A rotary engine is provided to increase energy efficiency by being operated at a low compression ratio as the torque is directly applied to a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION: A rotary engine comprises a cylinder(10), a main shaft(20), a sliding rotor shaft(30), one or more one way rotating mechanism, one or more rotation restricting mechanism, and a returning mechanism(34). One or more intake holes(12), an ignition hole(14), and an exhaust hole(16) are successively formed at a specific angle. The main shaft is installed in a concentric circle with the cylinder, and placed inside the sliding rotor shaft. The sliding rotor shaft, the main shaft, and the cylinder are concentrically installed, and the sliding rotor shaft is placed outside the main shaft. The one-way rotating mechanism is assembled to one or both sides of the main shaft and cylinder, and restricts the reverse rotation of the main shaft. The rotation restricting mechanism is assembled to one or both sides of the cylinder, and restricts the rotation of the sliding rotor shaft. The returning mechanism returns the relative angle positions of a sliding rotor(32) and a fixed rotor(22). |
