<p>An apparatus for manipulating a domestic radiator 7 comprises a pair of handles 1 to lift the radiator. Each handle has a grip portion 2 and an engagement portion 3, which is shaped to be received and releasably engaged in a port (11, fig 2) of the radiator. The engagement portion may be threaded and rotated into a thread of the port, may be made from plastics material, may have a lateral dimension smaller than the lateral dimension of the grip portion, and may be cylindrical in shape. The grip portion and engagement portion may be integrally formed. A stop member / abutment wall 6 limits the extent the engagement portion is inserted into the port. A collar 6A determines the depth of insertion into the port and prevents frictional loading and jamming of the handle in the port. An adjustable length strap (20, fig 4) may be used in combination with the handles to aid lifting of the radiator and comprises first (21) and second (22) loops at respective ends of the strap that are passed over the handles in use. The handles may be inserted into the ports at the top or bottom of the radiator.</p> |
