[Class 56] Glass employed in the construction of discharge valves and tubes for radio-electric and short-wave work, is composed chiefly of silica, alumina and lead oxide, in which the alumina stabilizes the lead silicate without appreciably affecting the electrical properties of the glass. Glass having a wide range of properties can be produced within the following compositions : and wherein the sum of the contents in B2O3, Na2O and K2O is other than zero. |
