A degas unit (1) for a cooling system circuit in a vehicle engine, the cooling system circuit comprising an expansion tank, a water pump and a radiator, has a housing (2) with an inlet (3) and an outlet (4). The degas unit (1) further comprises a mesh (5) arranged in said housing (2) between the inlet (3) and the outlet (4) allowing for gas to pass through.
