<p>A rotary electric machine (1) includes a stator (2); and a rotor (3) including an iron core (10), which has a tubular connecting portion (12) surrounding a shaft (9) and ten magnetic pole portions (13), integrally formed with the connecting portion (12) and equal to the pole number, and a plurality of permanent magnets (11) arranged between the magnetic pole portions (13). The iron core (10) includes axially-penetrated magnet accommodating air gaps (14) formed between the magnetic pole portions (13) at the radial outer side of the connecting portion (12), and the permanent magnets (11) are installed in the respective magnet (11) accommodating air gaps (14) such that a radial outer surface of each of the permanent magnets (11) makes close contact with an inner surface of each of the magnet accommodating air gaps (14) and such that a gap (20) exists between a radial inner surface of each of the permanent magnets (11) and the connecting portion (12).</p> |
