An over pressure venting system is suitable to be mounted in the wall or roof of a building that may be subject to over pressure events. The system includes a uPVC frame 2 fixed in the wall or roof and a vent panel 1 fixed on two externally mounted hinges 3, which are in turn fixed to the external face of the frame section. The panel is normally held in its closed position using a spring-loaded ball catch that has been calibrated to release at a preset pressure. The ball catch is optionally a twin ball catch 5. The system may also have a spring operated closing restrictor 17 located on the lower edge of the panel which stops the panel from closing fully immediately after an overpressure event. Preferably, a rubber seal 6 is provided. A panel restrictor may be used to limit the angular travel of the vent. |
