PURPOSE: A function testing method of an ear jack assembly and a device thereof are provided to offer a semi-permanent use of a plug by using a single pole plug. CONSTITUTION: A function testing device of an ear jack assembly includes a single pole plug (110), a signal applying unit (120), a signal detecting unit (130), and a determining unit (140). The single pole plug is inserted to an ear jack and electrically short-circuits between ear jack terminals. The signal applying unit applies an electronic signal to one of pins installed on a connector to be electrically connected to the ear jack terminal. The signal detecting unit detects the electronic signal from each pin. The determining unit determines whether a circuit between each pin and each ear jack terminal is opened or not.
