PURPOSE: A fire resistance rating (FRR) design method of a steel material is provided to consider performance of insulation as a design guide for a single member, thereby easily designing FRR of the steel material. CONSTITUTION: Information for a steel material for FRR evaluation is set and inputted (S100). A strength reduction factor and steel material yield stress are calculated based on the information for the steel material in room temperature, bending strength, design strength, design load, and requirement strength are calculated based on the strength reduction factor and the steel material yield stress (S130). When the requirement strength is smaller than the design strength, proper design of the steel material is evaluated (S150).
