The spark gap has ring or disk shaped electrodes (5) inserted and centrally held in an isolation body (7), and controlling elements (11) influencing voltage distribution over a stack arrangement. The controlling elements are arranged on an external periphery of envelop ends of the stack arrangement, and radial angular offset is connected to group and/or individual spark gap. The controlling elements run in parallel to a longitudinal axis of the stack arrangement, and are arranged on a supporting part (12) that includes electrical contact units (1, 2).
