<p>A driver assist method is provided, which comprises generating a video signal representing a vehicle environment outside a vehicle (100), extracting at least one feature from the video signal, comparing the extracted feature to at least one reference feature, the reference feature being selected from a plurality of pre-computed reference features which are stored as location attributes in a map database (220), identifying an object in the vehicle environment on the basis of the comparison of the extracted features and the reference features, and providing an indication to a driver of the vehicle (100) on the basis of the identified object.</p> |
