PURPOSE: An audio finger print search method using a weighted value for each block is provided to reduce the number of inquiries on audio fingerprint in a database, thereby supplying an accurate search result in a short time. CONSTITUTION: Search candidate music is extracted in a lookup table of a fingerprint database which stores the fingerprint of original music(S102). The fingerprint of the search candidate music is classified into blocks, and weighted values of the blocks are calculated(S106). The blocks are rearranged corresponding to the weighted values from a high block to a low block(S108). A fingerprint block and a BER(Bit Error Rate) of sample music are calculated corresponding to the weighted values of the fingerprint block(S110). When the BER is lower than a boundary value, the search candidate music is displayed as a search result(S114).
