A data retransmission method in a multi-antenna transmission system is provided to obtain spatial diversity by changing a transmission antenna, through which signals are retransmitted. An HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) scheme is used to transmit data. An initial transmission block is transmitted. An HARQ signal for the initial transmission block is received. A remapped retransmission block is generated by replacing or exchanging bits in the initial transmission block according to the HARQ scheme. The retransmission block is transmitted. The remapping process is performed on respective bits representing an I-axis or Q-axis on a signal constellation. The retransmission block is remapped by using a spatial variation among bits in the initial transmission block. |
