PURPOSE: A device for dividing a memory area to load a pre-load application of a portable terminal is provided to control two business areas which store applications corresponding to a business request, thereby eliminating an unnecessary space. CONSTITUTION: A memory (220) is divided into two areas (222a,222b) which store various kinds of applications. The two areas include a business area which is controlled according to the capacity of a stored application. A control unit (210) installs the applications, which are stored in the two areas, in the user area of the memory. The two areas divide the business area in the boot mode of a portable terminal. The two areas are a first business area and a second business area. The first business area stores applications, which are not allowed to be deleted, according to the request of a business. The second business area stores applications, which are allowed to be deleted, according to the request of the business.
