<p>The fitting assembly has an arm (14) and control arm (16) that are rotatably coupled to form X-scissors and are movable between closed position corresponding to closed position of sash, and open position corresponding to rotationally open position of a wing. The arm is connected to base plate (12) through intermediate link (22) which is pivotally connected to arm and base plate. The link is constructed and arranged such that it is neither in closed position nor in opening position of opening arm and control arm protrudes from base plate in opening direction.
