PURPOSE: A manufacturing method for artificial marble and the artificial marble manufactured by the method are provided to maintain the cost required to manufacture artificial marble by combining a product layer and a lightweight layer in a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for artificial marble comprises: a product layer mixture injecting process of injecting a product layer mixture of a resin and product filler into a mold (S110); a lightweight layer mixture injecting process of injecting a lightweight layer mixture of a resin and lightweight filler into the mold (S130); a compression-molding process of compressing the mixtures to be molded into artificial marble (S140). The artificial marble comprises a product layer which is integrated with a lightweight layer by pressurizing the mixtures in the mold.
