<p>The fender is for protecting a watercraft and comprises at least one protective part 1 for proÂtecting the watercraft and at least one magnetized part 2 for attaching the fender by magnetic attraction to the watercraft 3 or to another object, such as a dock, quay or wharf 4. The fender may float on water (Fig 4) and may include a handle (5, Fig 2) or an attachment point (7, Fig 3) for securing a rope or cord (9, Fig 3). The magnetized part may be an electro-magnet or a neodymium permanent magnet. The protective part may be formed of a closed cell plastic foam or natural rubber.</p> |
