PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve control of charge current with simple constitution and light load calculation in an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device 1 comprising capacitors 10, 12 as auxiliary power sources separate from a battery 7, a control circuit 2 obtains duty corresponding to the upper limit value of the charge current based on battery voltage and capacitor voltage from correlation obtained beforehand and controls opening and closing of switching elements 14 or 24, 25 provided in a charge circuit 16 or 27 with the duty.
