A polymer additive comprises a combination of 2-methylene-3-oxo-butanedioic acid as a first component and 2-oxopentanedioic acid or a salt or ester thereof as a second component. A polymer additive comprising either component in combination with any other carboxylic acid, acid anhydride, chlorine, fluorine, silicone, hydrogen peroxide, metal, or metallocene oxide is also envisaged. A catalyst comprising either or both components in combination with a metal or metallocene oxide and a catalyst comprising both components with a silicone or halide is further disclosed. |
