PURPOSE: A safe gas lighter for children which has a safety device for preventing an unintentional ignition is provided to secure safety by preventing an unintentional ignition with a safety device, thereby reducing any possible danger when using a lighter. CONSTITUTION: A gas lighter is separated and each separable part is movable in many directions along the hole of a button. The button is divided into upper and lower parts in order to move up and down. A spring (103) is inserted between the two parts of the button so that the lighter can come back to the original state. A rod which is shorter and has larger diameter than the rod of the upper part is inserted below the rod of the upper part of the button in order to prevent the two parts of the button from being separated.
