PURPOSE: A user interface providing method in an operating system of supporting the multitasking and a device thereof are provided to comprise a graphic user interface (GUI) for a background program which is executed through a background process of the multitasking without the restriction of a foreground process. CONSTITUTION: A control unit (24) executes a first program through a foreground process and executes a second program through a background process. The control unit comprises a first GUI which is connected to the first program through the foreground process and outputs the same to a display unit (22). The control unit comprises a second GUI which is connected to the second program through the background process and provides the same to the foreground process.
