PURPOSE: A composition for prevention and treatment of hepatitis C including ginsenoside Rg3 as an active ingredient is provided to be safe in the human body and to have less side effects as ginsenoside Rg3 shows remarkable anti-virus effects and antiapoptotic effects in HuH 7.5.1 cells infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV). CONSTITUTION: A composition for prevention and treatment of hepatitis C includes ginsenoside Rg3 or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an active ingredient. The ginsenoside Rg3 is represented by Chemical formula 1. The ginsenoside Rg3 is one separated from any one selected from the group consisting of ginseng, raw ginseng, white ginseng and red ginseng. A pharmaceutical composition is any one selected from the group consisting of tablet, pill, hard capsule, soft capsule, injection, liquid, suspension, syrup and granule. A health supplementary composition for prevention and alleviation of hepatitis C includes ginsenoside Rg3 or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an active ingredient. |
