PURPOSE: A sensor signal processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to implement reliable detection performance even outdoors by using a passive infrared ray sensor which is not applicable to outdoor due to generation of a false alarm according to the environmental change. CONSTITUTION: A sensor signal processing apparatus comprises a signal receiving unit (110), a sensor unit (120), and a false alarm signal removal unit (130). The signal receiving unit receives a sensor signal from the sensor unit. The sensor unit determines the existence of an object by using the sensor signal, and generates an alarm signal in case the existence of the object is determined. The false alarm signal removal unit removes the alarm signal which corresponds to a false alarm among multiple alarm signals.
