PURPOSE: A galvanized steel sheet including an Al-Mg-Si based plating layer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain plating wettability and superior peeling property by adding desirable amounts of Si and Mn to the galvanized steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: A galvanized steel sheet comprises 5-15 weight% of Mg, 2-5 weight% of Si, and the remaining amount of Al and inevitable impurities. The galvanized steel sheet includes an Al-Mg-Si based plating layer of 10-90g/m^2. A method for manufacturing the galvanized steel sheet comprises the steps of: preparing a hot-dip galvanizing solution, forming the Al-Mg-Si based plating layer by consecutively dipping a cold-rolled steel sheet in a plating layer accommodating the hot-dip galvanizing solution(S120), and heat-treating the plated layer(S130).
