Class 82(2) In a froth flotation apparatus the impeller works between opposed plate-like members having their peripheral portions dished towards each other to form a peripheral slit of less width than the impeller, the pulp and air being admitted to the impeller along its axis. The impeller 2 is mounted on a shaft 1. Plates 3 and 4 coact to form a peripheral slit 5 through which the pulp is expelled. An inlet funnel 6 or connection 7 are alternatively used for pulp input. In a modified form (not shown) the impeller is driven from below. |
