The device has a glass ceramic body designed as a glass ceramic pane and forming glass ceramic front and rear sides. A light is arranged in a region of the glass ceramic rear side. An optical compensation filter is arranged between the glass ceramic front side and the light. Optical phenomenon is produced on a display-side formed by the glass ceramic front side, where a color location of the phenomenon is varied from an original color location of the light. The light is formed from a combination blue, green and red LEDs i.e. RGB light, and designed as a white LED or fluorescent tube.
