PURPOSE: A rotary compressor is provided to reduce friction loss between an eccentric unit of a crank shaft and a rolling piston. CONSTITUTION: A rotary compressor comprises a drive motor (102), cylinders (111,121), and a crankshaft (105), rolling pistons (112,122), a vane, and weight reducing units (107a,108a). A drive motor is installed inside an airtight container (101). The cylinders are installed on one side of the drive motor in the airtight chamber, and form a compression chamber. The crank shaft is equipped with at least one eccentric unit (107,108) to deliver rotatory power of the drive motor. The rolling piston is connectedly contacted with the eccentric unit, and performs the turning movement inside the cylinder when the crank shaft is rotated. The vane is contacted with the rolling piston, and divides the compression chamber of the cylinder into an intake room and a discharge room. The weight reducing unit is formed to separate the outer circumferential surface of the eccentric unit from the inner circumferential surface of the rolling piston on at least one side of the outer circumferential surface of the eccentric unit from the inner circumferential surface of the rolling piston. |
