PURPOSE: A near field communication (NFC) security method and an apparatus thereof are provided to sense a peripheral device based on a change in a near field in case the peripheral device approaches to devices communicating in the near field. CONSTITUTION: A sensing unit (510) senses an approach of a peripheral device which does not belong to predetermined communications devices based on a change of a magnetic field in a near field. If the approach of the peripheral device is sensed, a control unit (520) controls an amount of energy transmitted from the communications devices in order to prevent the peripheral device from decoding signals transmitting and receiving between the communications devices through received energy.
