Mechanism for assigning e.g. barcode driven user card to write/read unit for controlling access to building, generates new identification number based on comparison of identification numbers in directory with duplicity

The randomly identification number is generated before the allocation process after the start by actuator (6). The generated identification numbers in the directory (4) of the read/write unit (3) is compared with duplicity. The identification number is discarded and a new identification number is generated, until no duplicity is present. The new identification number on the data field (8) in the user medium (7) is replaced by the generated identification number. The allocation process is canceled after a set time interval, if no user medium is presented. An independent claim is included for method for assigning user medium to write/read unit.
