PURPOSE: A mobile mapping system and a control method thereof are provided to generate spatial image information by synchronizing photographing image information with measurement information without using an external controller. CONSTITUTION: An image photographing unit(110) takes a photograph of an input image. An IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit)(130) measures the posture information of the image photographing unit. A GPS receiving unit(120) receives the position information of the image photographing unit. A control unit(150) extracts the captured image information by considering of the time delay of the captured image. The control unit generates spatial image information by combining the posture information and the location information.
