摘要 |
PURPOSE: A detection method for a gamma-ray radiated cultured pearl is provided to identify the discoloration of the pearl using the irradiation of a gamma-ray with only extracting a nacreous layer without destroying a nucleus. CONSTITUTION: A detection method for a gamma-ray radiated cultured pearl includes: a step (S100) of fixing a pearl to a fixing unit; a step (S200) of thinly drilling the nacreous layer of the pearl with a motor drill or pulverizing the layer with a small file with identifying the layer through a microscope; a step (S300) of extracting a specimen from the pulverized pearl; a step (S400) of analyzing the extracted specimen with an electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) analyzer; and a step (S500) of determining whether or not irradiating a gamma ray to the pearl through a comparative analysis on data from the step of extracting the specimen.
