PURPOSE: A production method of a chiral naphthoquinone derivative is provided to effectively produce an optically active substance with high optical purity using a chiral catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A production method of a chiral naphthoquinone derivative includes a step of reacting naphthoquinone and nitroolifin under the presence of a chiral catalyst. The chiral catalyst is 0.1 mol% of chiral organic catalyst. The naphthoquinone is denoted by chemical formula 3. The nitroolifin is denoted by chemical formula 4. R is fury, thienyl, or pyridyl which is an aromatic heterocyclic compound.
