PURPOSE: Electronic device and information detection method using the same are provided to avoid interference of a signal transmitted to a remote control device to affect a signal transmitted to an electronic device from a remote control device. CONSTITUTION: A reception unit (110) receives a data signal from a remote control device. A signal processing unit (130) signal processes the received data signal and converts the data signal into a pulse signal. A control unit (150) detects information included in the data signal based on time difference between start time points of a continuous pulse range in the pulse signal.
