PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for refining magnetic domain of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet are provided to continuously produce magnetic domain-refined electrical steel sheets in variable and high speed conditions by automatically changing the shape of a laser beam according to the thickness of an electrical steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for refining magnetic domain of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet comprises a laser generator(10), an optical unit(20), and a support roll(30). The laser generator generates a laser beam. The optical unit deflects the laser beam from the laser generator to irradiate the surface of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet. The support roll contacts the electrical steel sheet to apply tension of 0.1-20kgf/mm^2 to the electrical steel sheet. |
