PURPOSE: A cap capable of upward and downward control is provided to have a beautiful design by making the exterior well suitable for a post so that the cap is recognized as a post. CONSTITUTION: A cap capable of upward and downward is engaged with a post in which grooves (210,220,230,240) in each side part of a rectangular shape. The cap includes a cylindrical shape up-down control unit (320) in which a screw thread (321) is formed and a post engagement unit (310) in which one side of protrusion units (311,312,313,314) are inserted in the grooves, guide tips (315,316,318) are formed in the vicinity of three corners and a first bolt (317) to be screw-engaged with the screw thread of the up-down control unit i s formed in the other corner. In the other side, protrusion rods (331,332,334) to make up-down motion possible by being inserted into the guide tips in the vicinity of the three corners are formed and a support unit (330) formed in the other one corner in which a second bolt (333) is screw-engaged with the screw thread of the up-down control unit is formed.
