PURPOSE: Information configuration method of a mobile terminal and device thereof are provided not to configure all information such as language, conversion unit and et cetera to be used in a mobile terminal by a user one by one. CONSTITUTION: A memory (506) stores subscriber identification information of a user of a mobile terminal. A control unit (500) detects national information from the subscriber identification information. The control unit configures at least one information used in the mobile terminal based on the detected national information. The subscriber identification information includes international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) included in a subscriber identification module (SIM) card.
