PURPOSE: An injection molding machine and a method for controlling null position are provided to accurately and automatically control the position of a screw which functions to extrude melting materials into a mold, thereby effectively adjusting the null position of a screw without a lot of labor force and working time. CONSTITUTION: An injection molding machine includes a controlling unit (90). The controlling unit comprises a microprocessor, a display unit, an inputting unit, a matching unit and a memory. The inputting unit is equipped with an inputting means to be manually operated and inputs all sorts of commands for null-adjustment into the microprocessor. The matching unit matches a torque detection sensor and a driver with the microprocessor. The memory stores all sorts of programs for adjusting the null position of a screw and provides the programs to the microprocessor. The memory stores all sorts of information generated in the process of adjusting the null position of a screw by the microprocessor.
