A hermetic compressor is provided to simplify the structure for preventing overheating operation of the compressor and the damage to the compressor by controlling whether to operate the compressor by a thermoelectric element. A hermetic compressor includes a case(110) having a sealed space divided into high and low pressure parts(112,113), a driving motor(120) mounted in the sealed space of the case for generating driving force, a compression unit for compressing refrigerant by the torque, and a thermoelectric element(161) mounted between the high and low pressure parts of the case for generating electromotive force according to the temperature difference between the parts. The driving motor is mounted with a breaker(125) for preventing the overload of the driving motor, wherein the breaker is connected to an output part of the thermoelectric element electrically. |
