The lock (10) has a driving mechanism including a control wheel that is located in vicinity of a retractable half-turn bolt (18), and a driving unit that is electrically controllable for rotating the control wheel. The control wheel includes a support surface causing retraction of the half-turn bolt when the driving unit rotates the control wheel for driving locking bolts (22, 24, 26, 28) toward an unbolted position. A rod is swivelly mounted between the control wheel and the half-turn bolt. The support surface swivelly actuates the rod for retraction of the half-turn bolt.
