摘要 Process for obtaining biogas from cactus, particularly opuntia (nopales), said process transforming biomass (cactus) into biofuel, the product introduced into the biodigestor being an organic fraction mixture of opuntia filtrated with water in ratios of from about 3% to about 5% water-opuntia, the use of water may transmit heat to the inner portion of the biodigestor, this being a form to control the biomass fermentation, the water temperature ranging from about 35°C to about 40°C. The pH of the mixture in the reactor is controlled in a range of from about 6.9 to about 7.1. The transformation of the biomass by the action of the bacterial microorganism in anaerobic conditions requires a period of time of from about 12 days to about 50 days. The obtained biogas is reduced into hydrogen sulphide acid and carbon dioxide. The equipment for performing the aforesaid process comprises a hopper for supplying raw material, which is coupled to a mill that includes a sump for leading a feed pump to thick filters, which are led to a water supply valve in a piping that is led to a biodigestor or anaerobic reactor, this latter element comprising a suitable heat exchanger that includes two coupled and diametrically opposite pumps; the outlet piping of the biodigestor is led to filters of hydrogen sulphide acid that are communicated to a compressor that is led to biogas washers, these washers being communicated to water heaters for the biodigestor circulation, storing deposits, industrial burners, or electric power generators; the biodigestor is communicated, by means of a piping, to degasification towers coupled to an air compressor.
