PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable execution of processing without degrading image quality when the size of image data is larger than the size of a memory area in an image scanning apparatus.SOLUTION: An image processing unit 2 performs predetermined processing on image data output by a scanner unit 1 or image data obtained by preprocessing the image data output by the scanner unit 1, writes the image data after the predetermined processing into a predetermined memory area in a memory 3 in turn, and when a writing position of the image data reaches the end of the memory area, returns the writing position of the image data to the top of the memory area, and overwrites it in turn. Meanwhile, a main control unit 4 secures the memory area in the memory 3, and measures a shortage amount of the memory area on the basis of the size of an area overwritten by the image processing unit 2. |
