PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a document image from being classified into a wrong document category, the problem being caused by influences of an end side image of a document.SOLUTION: An image reading device 1 includes: a data acquisition part acquiring data on a readout image including an end side image of a document M; and a controller. The controller is configured to execute range setting processing for setting a target range not including at least one end side image of a document image G1 on the readout image G2, and document classification processing for classifying the document image into any one of a plurality of document categories on the basis of color information on respective pixels that belong to the target range. |
