PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular authentication device that can permit a driver to start an engine of a vehicle without making the driver have a key or an ID card, even if the driver taken picture by a camera is not authenticated as a normal user of the vehicle.SOLUTION: Starting an engine is permitted, if a driver taken picture in S12 is authenticated as a normal user (S14:YES). However, even if the driver is not authenticated as the normal user (S14:NO), and when the detection pattern that detected behaviors of eyes of the driver agrees to the authentication pattern (S30:YES), the starting of the engine is permitted. Accordingly, in the vehicular authentication device that executes this authentication processing, even if the driver taken picture by the camera is not authenticated as a normal user of the vehicle (S14:NO), starting of the engine of the vehicle can be permitted without making the driver has neither the key nor the ID card, etc. |
