PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system of using a common set of coils to form at least two of magnetic flux, heat and degaussing in a mobile platform.SOLUTION: In accordance with one embodiment, a method needs oscillation of current in a coil 16 at a frequency higher than a defined pointing requirement to generate heat. In accordance with another aspect, the coil 16 function as a degausser 22 by energizing the coil with an oscillating current that decreases in amplitude over time. |
