PURPOSE: An impedance matching device and method are provided to improve the impedance matching speed by adaptively changing the search window compared to the existing impedance matching algorithm. CONSTITUTION: An impedance matching device sets up a first search window based on a midpoint(421) of a variable range of a first variable capacitor and a second variable capacitor. The first search window may be set as a square shape having 9 sections(3×3). The impedance matching device performs search in a helical or spiral shape based on a midpoint of the first search window. The matching search point of the first search window is located in the direction of an impedance matching point(424).
