PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a light-emitting diode in which the connection between a Zener diode and an electrode is stabilized.SOLUTION: A light-emitting diode manufacturing method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: connecting a Zener diode to a first and a second electrode, respectively; supplying a metal mold composed of an upper and a lower die; placing the first and the second electrodes and the Zener diode in the accommodation groove of the lower die and putting the core component of the upper die so as to cover the first and the second electrodes, thereby placing the wall of the upper die on the lower die; injecting a liquid molding material into the metal mold; removing the metal mold when the molding material is solidified and forming a base, a dam and a reflection cup as an integral body, with the Zener diode thereby enclosed inside the dam; placing first and second light-emitting diode chips in the first and the second electrodes, respectively; and filling up the reflection cup with a sealing material. |
