The system (1) has gas generator housing (2) receiving a gas generator (3), and a set of clamping flanges (4, 5) fixing the housing at a vehicle structure. The clamping flanges are firmly bond-connected with the housing and formed in single-piece with the housing. The housing and/or clamping flanges partially and/or fully consists of a metal, where the clamping flanges are connected with the housing by a welding or adhesive connection unit (26). The clamping flanges are formed as a separated component in addition to the housing.
