PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injectable bone void filler.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a biodegradable fibrin-based composition for injection into osseous defects or voids, which can be the result of osteoporosis, surgery, bone cysts, tumor removal or traumatic bone injury. One aspect of this invention relates to a multi-component system for an injectable bone void filler composition contains: a component (a) including fibrinogen; a component (b) including thrombin; a component (c) including at least one plasticizer; and a component (d) including particles having a diameter of about 200 μm or less. |
