PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of downsizing a process cartridge while preventing contact between a developer conveying member and a developing roller.SOLUTION: The developing device comprises: a developer bag 16 having an opening 35a for discharging a developer; frames 17 and 18 for storing the developer discharged from the developer bag 16 stored therein; a sealing member 19 rotatably disposed inside the frame 17, 18 and rotating to press and deform the developer bag 16; and a developer supply roller 23 carrying the developer on its surface to convey. When a distance X from the rotation center of the sealing member 19 to the surface of the developer supply roller 23 and a length T from the rotation center of the sealing member 19 to a free end of the sealing member 19 that presses the developer bag 19 satisfy a relationship of X<T, a shielding member 42 for preventing the sealing member 19 from coming into contact with the developer supply roller 23 is disposed between the rotation center of the sealing member 19 and the surface of the developer supply roller 23 or in a neighborhood thereof. |
