PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the shortening of the service life of a motor with a brush by stopping operation when a sheet carrying abnormality occurs.SOLUTION: A sheet carrying device includes a motor with a brush, a carrying part for carrying a sheet along a carrying passage by a driving force of the motor, a sensor for outputting a detecting signal corresponding to whether or not the sheet exists in a detecting position on the carrying passage, and a control part. The control part has a constitution for performing mutually different stopping operations when it is determined that there occurs a first carrying abnormality of staying the sheet in a first area on the carrying passage and when it is determined that there occurs a second carrying abnormality of staying the sheet in a second area different from the first area on the carrying passage during the rotational drive of the motor with the brush. |
