PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a movable portion from an arc-extinguishing functional component for performing arc-extinguishing, simplify a structure of arc-extinguishing function, and further control or shut off arc of high-voltage AC or DC by a compulsive magnetic field.SOLUTION: A plurality of cylindrical holes 52b is formed by a plurality of partition walls between one central magnetic plate 53 and two magnetic plates 54 and 55 positioned outside, out of the magnetic plates 53, 54 and 55 disposed inside an arc-extinguishing chamber 50 and, in addition, the plurality of cylindrical holes 52b passes through from a switching route on which a contact 40a of a movable electrode 40 moves to outside of the arc-extinguishing chamber 50, so that, an arc AC discharging in a magnetic circuit 60 is curved due to a magnetic field, and, further, a temperature of the arc AC is extremely high. Consequently, a part of a fluorine resin of the arc-extinguishing chamber 50 close to the arc AC is gasified to generate fluorine gas. By removing plasma ions containing metallic vapor of an arc electric circuit, the fluorine gas having electrical insulation and flame retardancy blocks the arc AC. |
